Why use me?

Customer Service

If you don’t know exactly what you want, don’t know the technical jargon or even how to translate a brief of what your company desires. This is where I can rise above the larger design agencies.

Help and Advice

If you have a question, you can call me directly - no touch tone redirection, no receptionists, no programmers that don’t know the full details, just one person. This is vital if you need things done fast.

Deadlines

Deadlines are a real issue if you must have a job completed by a certain date no questions asked. Sudden changes which require immediate revisions can be made any time day or night, ideal for getting that presentation finished for Monday morning. It's well known that the larger design agencies close for weekends. I'll be a single ring away and will be happy to fix it at midnight.

Price

Sometimes "how much is it" can be more important than "who did it". If you don't want to pay for a series of office cubicles populated by semi-skilled graduates then why not use me? I have the skills, the experience as well as fewer outgoings than any design firm.

Agencies

Design agencies use me for all the reasons listed above.

Cropping control in Photoshop 2

Normally, when you crop an image, Photoshop deletes the portion of the photo that you cropped so it's gone forever. If you're cropping a layered file, you can tell Photoshop not to delete the cropped material, making it easy to revert back if you change your mind. To do this, go to the options bar and, in the cropped area section, turn on the 'Hide' radio button. From now on, Photoshop will hide the cropped area outside the document margins instead of deleting it, meaning that though you won't see it on screen, it's still part of your file. In fact, if you want to resurrect the cropped portion, choose Image > Reveal All and Photoshop will automatically resize the canvas to reveal anything that might be outside the canvas (the previously cropped part). If you want to bring back a portion of the cropped area, just use the 'Move' tool to reposition that area back into view.
