Images in Dreamweaver

When you’re formatting photos for a website, most web software involves saving an image a certain size, typing that size into the code and saving the image a certain way. When you use Dreamweaver to make your websites, inserting images is simple because both Photoshop and Dreamweaver are made by Adobe®, which essentially means they can talk to each other.

Open the file in Photoshop, make a selection, then simply copy and paste the selection into Dreamweaver. The great thing about copy and paste between Photoshop and Dreamweaver is that you can select individual layers, or only a portion of the image to be used in Dreamweaver.
Upon pasting, Dreamweaver displays the Image Preview dialog box, which allows you to compress the file in the file format of your choice. With this method, Dreamweaver creates a secondary image as a link and preserves the integrity of the original iStockphoto image. The new image that is created is also editable back in Photoshop when using the Edit button in the Properties panel in Dreamweaver.
